The world needs more LaTeX users
I’m sick of going online, finding either a word template or, worse, a sample document, then restyling my papers to conform with the guidelines of different conferences. How easy would it be for them to make a LaTeX class and put it on the web. And how easy would it be for conference contributors to use LaTeX?
Come on, it’s a free, high-end typesetting system. The langauge is easier to use then the statistical programming applications that produced the results. The files would be easier to share. The publications would be more consistent. A paper could easily be restyled for submission to another organization without fear of having Word’s styles embedded. We wouldn’t have to worry about the positioning of our tables and graphics.
To dream.
