Google Notebook!

I used to use Yahoo! Notepad for a lot of stuff, but eventually abandoned the process because it was way to slow. Google Notebook went live tonight and it’s a similar concept with a slightly better implementation, in that it has:

  1. A quick Ajax interface
  2. The ability to organize notes into categories
  3. The ability to have multiple notebooks
  4. The ability to make notebooks public (and keep others private)
  5. A Firefox extension!

The Firefox extension is essential to using Notebook. Without it, you’d have to log into google.com/notebook every time you wanted to add a clip. But it brought up a moral dilemna for me, since I’ve been a loyal Camino user for a few months now. I may have to switch back, because I like the idea of being able to use this extension. I like it a lot.

And since I’m reconsidering Firefox, I decided to retry the Performancing for Firefox extension. Very Nice! It used to be kinda buggy — the Mac OS X graphcis were a bit off and it would insert extra line breaks between all of the paragraphs on my WordPress.com blogs. Those problems are apparently fixed.

So, for now at least, I think I’m switching back.
And since I’m reconsidering
