About this blog
Welcome to General Disarray, a blog with content so varied that I’ve deemed its miscellany to be abject. The purpose of this blog is constantly morphing, but currently it’s where I house miscellaneous computing tips, sheet music and tablature that I have created, short essays about computing, open source ideas, research, economics and politics, and the occasional snarky jab at a public figure.

The name “General Disarray” is something of a double entendre. This blog is really the combination of several websites that I would maintain if I had the time — a humor site, a computing site, an opinion site, a music site, etc. I have lumped all of that content together here, which leaves all of those hypothetical sites in a state of general disarray. Moreover, General Disarray is the sidekick of the diabolical Professor Chaos in South Park, which is probably one of the smartest news analysis shows around.

Since the materials here range from utter bagatelle to (hopefully) very useful information, I have categorized the more useful posts on this blog under “Sticky posts,” so if you’re a new visitor, I suggest reading that category first.
